AS CAESAR SEES IT

Sid Caesar returned to television in 1963 with several specials under the title “As Caesar Sees It.” It evolved into the “Sid Caesar Show” the next year, alternating with “Here’s Edie,” starring Edie Adams. Wildly successful in the realm of television, his seminal “Your Show of Shows” in the 1950’s was the place for many comics to develop their writing skills, among them Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner and Neil Simon.
